About The Association
The Travel Industry Association of Montana was originally formed in 1989 as the Montana Tourism Coalition. It was renamed and reorganized in 2005 to the Travel Industry Association of Montana. TIAM strives to represent all segments of the travel industry - art and cultural groups, retailers, water recreationists, hunters, outdoor sporting businesses, car rental agencies, convenience stores, lodging facilities, restaurants, etc. as well as the associations that represent tourism related businesses. Tourism is one of Montana's leading and fastest growing industries. Annually more than 10 million visitors come to Montana and add more than $2.9 billion in new money to our state's economy. It is important to the economy of Montana and the continued growth and health of tourism-related businesses that we work together for the betterment of all. TIAM is poised to do this.
Our Mission
The purpose for which the Travel Industry of Montana is organized is to advance the industry, to provide information to the public regarding issues facing tourism, to advance the positions taken by the organization, and to enhance the state's tourism marketing efforts in order to further strengthen Montana's economy.
